Top Gym Beats: My Workout Motivation Song

Songs for workout/ gym session

Gym sessions can feel dull and challenging without the right beats to keep you pumped. In this article, I’ve put together some of my favorite workout tracks—songs that keep me energized and motivated, making every rep and every mile more exciting.

I hope you’ll enjoy them as well during your workouts.

Songs drawn from Japanese Anime

Captain Tsubasa J - Fighting!

My first song is Captain Tsubasa J – Fighting! Running on the treadmill while listening to this track makes me feel like Trent Alexander-Arnold or Mo Salah sprinting down the right flank—either taking a shot to score or delivering a stunning cross after outpacing the opponent’s defender.

PS: I used to play as a left/right winger… at the ‘Kampung’ (village) level! 😂 My biggest strength? The blazing pace and lightning speed! 😂

Dan Dan Kokoro Hikareteku is one of the most iconic and nostalgic songs from the Dragon Ball series. There are two versions: one by the beautiful and talented singer Ms. Izumi Sakai 坂井 泉水 and another by Field of View. Both versions are equally legendary and timeless

Listening to Dragon Ball’s opening theme while heavy lifting can make you feel like a Super Saiyan, just like Goku!

Izumi-Sakai

When I was a kid, I always admired Yugi for his second personality—calm, smart, and mentally strong—which protected him during difficult times. (Yugi’s second personality emerges when he wears the Millennium Puzzle.)

Another masterpiece from Field of View.

Some Random English Songs I played for Workout

Disney Mulan - I'll Make a Man Out of You

Songs drawn from Naruto

Naruto and Naruto Shippuden hold a special place in my heart, which is why they have their own spot here.

Naruto En 1 - Akeboshi - Wind

One of the most iconic OSTs in the Naruto series 👇

I’m afraid it might be too much. 😅😓

The reason Naruto has the most songs here is simply that it’s the only anime I’ve watched completely, from episode 1 to the very end.

If you’re asking why there aren’t any Chinese songs?

If you’re wondering why there aren’t any Chinese songs, even though Chan Kang is a native Mandarin speaker.

I used to be obsessed with Chinese songs, especially those from Taiwan and Hong Kong, by singers like Jay Chou, JJ Lin, Wang Leehom, Eric Chou, Eason Chan, and many more.

The reason might be a conspiracy with no scientific studies or proven data, so don’t take it too seriously 😉

However, as I grew up, I felt that most (though not all) Chinese songs revolve around themes of romance 情 and love 爱 as if there’s nothing else important other than that.

Are these capitalists trying to promote a ‘恋爱脑‘ mind or something?

Hence, I made a bold Inference:

Romantic obsession fuels Consumerism. Once the consumer market is dominated by a ‘恋爱脑’ (romantic obsession) mindset, irrationality leads to impulsive spending.

Also a Hypothesis:

The more capitalists and businesses promote Chinese romance singers, the more consumerism grows in the market.

And a Conclusion (Without Scientific Study or Research)🤣

Listen to fewer Chinese love songs to avoid falling into a love-obsessed mindset. Stay stoic, focus on personal growth and earning money, and don’t easily fall into the consumerist traps designed by capitalists.

Terminology

What is '恋爱脑' Love-obsessed mind

“恋爱脑” is a popular internet slang term referring to a mindset that prioritizes love above all else. It describes people who, once in a relationship, devote all their energy and attention to love and their partner. Such individuals are often said to have a “恋爱脑” (love-obsessed mindset).

According to Baidu Baike (Baidu Encyclopedia)

Consumerism refers to a social and economic system that encourages the acquisition of goods and services in ever-increasing amounts. It often involves marketing strategies that create desires and drive people to spend more, sometimes on non-essential items.

For example, Valentine’s Day is heavily tied to consumerism. Companies market love and romance as reasons to buy flowers, chocolates, jewelry, and other gifts, appealing to those with a love-obsessed mindset. This leads many to spend extravagantly, believing that material gifts are essential to expressing love, even when it may not align with practical needs.

Conclusion: Nah, I’m just joking!

Anyway, I’m just joking! This article should be read with a relaxed and fun mindset.

The real reason Chinese songs aren’t on the list is that I’m simply too lazy. If I included all my favorite Chinese or Cantonese songs, this article would end up way too long🤭!

‘Romantic Obsession Fuels Consumerism: Capitalism Conspiracy Theory’ (恋爱脑催生更多消费主义;资本阴谋论). Sounds interesting, right?
